Xiaomi hiked Redmi note and Mi TV price in India to meet the demand

Price hike:

Xiaomi hiked Redmi note 5 pro and Mi Smart Tv 4 price in India. Company claims that price hike is due to the recent tax hike and also to meet up the demand. Please find the official announcement from Xiaomi below. The price hike be effective from May 1, 2018.

  • Redmi note 5 pro got 1000 rupees hike for all it’s variants and will be available from Rs.14,999.
  • Mi TV 4 55′ price is hiked by Rs. 5000 will be available at Rs.44,999.

Pre-Order:

Customers who have placed pre order in MI site will get the device delivered at the ordered price. No price hike announced for other devices yet.

The company in its recent announcement said “We would be honouring all pre-orders of Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB + 64GB already placed on Mi.com at the original price of INR 13,999,”.

Recent Announcements:

The company recently announced that it will quote only 5% margin for it’s devices. When the customers are expecting price cut for it’s devices after the announcement, the price hike turned their face red.

The company has announced it’s upcoming smartphones Mi 6x.We heard rumours about Redmi S2 and Mi A2.

Apple has already announced it’s price hike due to the recent change in tax structure.
