Earlier, The famous electric car manufacturing company has launched a power bank that can charge an Android phone or iPhone on the go at just $45. This charger comes with USB, micro USB and alsl Apple lightning connections. The device uses a single 18650 cell with 3,350mAh capacity which is also found in Tesla’s Model S and X electric vehicles.
New wireless chargee cum Powerbank
Now Tesla is back with the bank. The company has launched a new wireless charging pad that supports both Android and Apple smartphones, which the company calls as ‘Tesla Wireless Charger’.
The charger pad has both USB-C and USB-A. The charger packs a whopping 6,000mAh battery as well. So you can use it as a power bank to bring with you on the go and it’ll be able to charge your phone fully twice depends upon your device’s battery capacity. This wireless charger is priced at just $65 (~Rs. 4,550) which can be purchased from the Tesla’s official website for $65 (approximately Rs 4,600). As of npw the chargers are already sold put.
The wireless charging is limited to 5W supply, whereas wired charging method gets you upto 7.5W.
Tesla describes the device, “The Tesla Wireless Charger is a 6000mAh (22.2Wh) battery-powered inductive charging pad that features the same design language used in our energy products, like Powerwall. In addition to wirelessly charging your device, you can also power up your phone with the integrated USB-C cable. For non USB-C devices, use the USB-A port to plug in any USB-A charging cable. The built-in USB-A cable can be used to charge your Wireless Charger from any USB port.”
