Vivo Y81 with notch is launched and Vivo V9 youth got price cut

Vivo ia busy with its next to next events. Vivo’s recent flagship device Nex is getting attention with it’s innovative pop up camera. In India, Wr can’t deny that Vivo has strong offline market compared to other brands.

Now Vivo is back with a new  midrange device Vivo Y81. Let’s see the specs of Vivo Y81, it’s pros and cons here.

Vivo Y81 Specifications:

Vivo Y81 comes with a 6.22-inch HD IPS display with 720×1520 pixels resoltuon and 19:9 aspect rario. The screen has Corning Gorilla glass protection. The phone has 88% body to screen ratio with iPhone X like notch.

Processor and memory:

The Vivo Y81 is powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6762 processor with 3GB of RAM.

The phone has 32GB of internal storage and supports Micro SD card up to 256GB. Device has dual sim nano sim card slot and both supports LTE network.

Camera:

The device has a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. In the front a 5MP selfie camera with aperture f/2.2.

Device supports face unlock feature but finger print scanner ignored here to reduce the cost.

OS:

The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo based FunOS 4.0

Battery:

Vivo Y81 comes with 3260mAh battery which is a decent one.

Price:

Now this is where Vivo was failing with Redmi and Asus. This is clearly a budget device but the device had the mid range device’s price tag of $219 which is approximately 15k. In India, they may launch at slightly less price of Rs.12,999.

  • Face unlock
  • Gorilla glass protection

What could be better in Vivo Y81:

  • Over priced.
  • Finger print sensor is missing
  • no full hd display
  • No dual camera set up and hence the device is missing Bokeh mode.
  • Average front camera

Verdict:

Vivo Y81 is a budget device at mid range price. Pricing is one of the main reason why Vivo is lagging in online markets. The devive is a decent one if it has the price tag of Rs. 9000.

Vivo V9 youth got a price cut:

Few weeks back Vivo launched V9 youth at Rs. , a lite version of Vivo V9 at Rs.18,990. Now Vivo announced price cut of Rs.1000 and the device will be available at Rs. 17,990. Check our review here to know whether the device is worth for Rs.18000.
